This article takes me back. Because one of my very first articles on this blog was about desks. It was actually the very first article in which I shared you my love for some gorgeous products – DeskTop. It has been almost a year since then and I am very glad to still be writing and working on this website. And I really hope to be able to say this for years to come.

But enough about nostalgia and let’s move on to our new and fresh article that could well improve your work life. For those of you who work at a desk on a daily basis, you may be well aware of the importance that a good desk and chair has. From influencing your posture and health to adding to your creativity and focus for your everyday work tasks. So it it quite normal that we should be looking for the best when it comes to our work space. And today, this comes in the form of some amazing desk designs.

I have to mention that not all of these desks are produced yet, some of them being only concepts. But I wanted to share them with you nonetheless because they are worth it and you will see why.

A desk designed for your needs…

This title can apply to every single one of today’s desk designs. They are all made with the desk user in mind and his or her needs. So it is only normal that these desks will try to be as useful and efficient as possible. So let’s find out just how do they manage that.

Giuseppe Burgio

First off, we have what I consider to be a gorgeous looking desk. I mean, just look at the picture and you will see what I mean. This is what mainly caught my eye when I discovered this piece. After looking a bit past its beauty I started to notice how wonderfully functional and well thought of it is. If you notice from this picture, or go ahead and check out more about it, you will notice that all of the 3 pieces actually fit together. And how clever is that? More surface when you need it, but easy to put away and not take up space when you put it away. The concept of this desk is what I would consider perfect for me. I often find myself not having enough space on the desk, or around it and this would solve both of these issues.

Tommaso Guerra

Next up, we have what I consider a really charming idea for a desk. A unique design that caught my eyes and stirred my creativity. If you take a closer look at the picture below, you will notice a bar that hangs right over the desk. Of course, in this picture the bar serves as a light holding fixture. What came to my mind was something a bit different. With the help of a few strings and clips, you could hang important notes or papers from it. And this is just one of the many ways to take advantage of this design and use it to you benefit.

I can bet that most of you have heard at least once of the term of “organized chaos”. This next desk was not only born out of chaos, but it also represents it a little. The way that the legs are arranged is nothing more than chaos. There is no order, no planning, no nothing. But I bet that there will be many hours of inspiration and hard work from this desk’s owner.

And I have mentioned one previously. But this comes on a close second. So, let me introduce you to one of the most beautiful desk and chair pairings that you will ever see in your life. Mono Solo

For those of you who enjoy a minimalist and simple design, this is it. Of course, the combination of wood and white has been and will always remain a classic. But this design does not stop there. Although from my point of view it would be enough. But it goes a bit further and adds a modern element to the desk. Therefore, it makes technology a part of the desk, rather than an intruder. And all this goes to your advantage without any interference.

Shift

We’ve seen our share of different materials used in the making of a desk. This is one of the few that uses OSB  (Oriented Strand Board) and I have to say that I love it. And not only because this material is both affordable and environmentally friendly. But if we take a closer look at the design of this desk, we can see the hand of a real craftsman. The combination of materials, of angles, and of beauty and functionality has made this desk another one of my favorite in this list.

Holzano

So, we get to the last desk on my list. And I wanted to end this article on a high note. So I present to you what appears at first to be a minimalist desk. Although I can’t contradict you there, I can still add something. It may not look like much, but this desk can top all the rest. And this simply by the materials that were used in its design. A combination of FiDU metal and 50,000 years old ancient Kauri wood, make this desk the one to look out for.
