“A towel, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapors; sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-boggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can’t see it, it can’t see you); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.”
Of course, you don’t have to worry. If you’re not an interstellar hitchhiker, these towels can be used just as well inside your home. I, for one, recommend you use them around your kitchen to keep everything nice and clean. And, in case you ever need to go for a quick interstellar trip, you will always have a towel close. And isn’t that the most important thing? Douglas Adams seems to think so.
Interplanetary Kitchen Towel Sets
But let’s get back to our home planet and our individual homes. We, of course, have to keep these in the best shape possible, until we need leave either one of them. And one of the most important things inside of your kitchen is your towel. You can use it just for practical reasons. But who’s to say that an aesthetic part shouldn’t play a role in all of this? I, for one, think that you can use kitchen towels as one of the easiest decor elements in your kitchen.
Therefore, I have chosen for today towels with a bit of personality. They all come in sets and each one has a unique feature that makes them special. Never be afraid to go bold with your towels, especially if you have a simple designed kitchen. You may find some of these towels to be a little more bold that you’re used to. But they all can be very charming if paired well with your kitchen. For example, I would use the second set of towels in this list for the dining table. Pair them with simple white plates and some delicious colored food and there you have it. But you can do that with any of these towels. And make them fit right in and feel at home inside your kitchen.
