Geometric shelves for your minimalist design

I have to admit that when I was in school, I hated geometry. I thought of it as an useless and hard subject which would not benefit me in the least. And just like all the other kids, I wondered that, since I don’t like it, why should I bother learning it. Little did I know then about where my path would take me. It turns out that I discovered the field of interior design and finally found a purpose for that “useless subject”. Of course, I didn’t discovered it from the beginning. But it didn’t take me too long to understand the implications of a good design and how much you have to learn before you can achieve it. And from that moment, I fell in love even with geometry.

But I don’t want to bore you. If you want to find out more about interior design and what it stands for, you can follow my articles of tips and tricks, infographics or history of interior design. For now, I will stick with the main purpose of this type of article, which is to introduce you to good looking furniture. And today we have on the menu some beautiful looking, and geometric, shelves.

Geometric shelves

I mentioned in the title that you could use these shelves for a minimalist design. And I shall stand by my words. Because, as you will see in the following pictures, all of these shelves are nothing more than their states. They are shelves, in geometric shapes. There are no hidden compartments, no excess of material, just the bare minimum. Some of you may contradict me and say that a minimalist shelf is only a solid piece of wood, with no shape or form whatsoever. But minimalism doesn’t mean plane or boring. It just means that you reduce the furniture to its basic functions, not strip it of a lovely aspect.

And this is why I really love these geometric shaped shelves. They accomplish their sole goal while also bringing a little more to your design. It doesn’t matter if that stands for color, shape, or match to other pieces. You will be able to have a minimalist design by using any of these geometric shapes. Just take your pick.

Oh, wait! This doesn’t mean that you can’t use these shelves for any other type of design. You can use them for any design, room and purpose around the house. The choice is yours and I will stand by any piece you select.
