…sitting around our home.
And the poor little tree did not want to spend the holidays alone.
So we kept it, decorated it, and made it to be…
Our very own little Christmas tree.

And today, my darlings, I want to share with you another part of me. My very own, decorated by yours truly, Christmas tree. We have had the luck of finding almost exactly what we wanted when it came to our tree.

After a good hour or more of browsing, searching, looking, or any other verb that you might think to describe this action, we finally found it. It was not the most perfect tree. There were plenty of others bigger, fuller, more symmetric, and with many other qualities. But this is a good old part of this tradition. When you are searching for your own tree, you have to learn and compromise. It will not be the perfect tree that you see in the movies, maybe not even close to that. But it will be yours and you will love it for what it is. And this is what happened in this case. We decided it was the one and haven’t regretted it for a moment. In the last photo of this article, you can also see a blurry yet bigger picture of how it looked when we were close to finishing decorating it.

So the tree was selected. And that much was done. All we had to do now was to decorate it and wait for Santa to come.

When it came to the decorations, there was no problem. We had all that we need from last year’s shopping spree. I was very lucky to find a charming local home store who sold the most beautiful decorations. From classic and simple gorgeous globes to wood and textile Christmas symbols that will conquer your heart. If you don’t believe me, just take a look at the pictures and you will see what I mean. Almost all of the hanging ornaments come from this store and I encourage my fellow Romanians to check it out. It goes by the name of NobilaCasa and it sells anything you could want to have in your home. And I can honestly vouch for their high quality and beautiful appearance.

So all of the ornaments were well placed and hanged,
Almost all of them by my very own hand.
Of course I had help from some lovely little elves,
But they got tired but they outdid themselves.

So this is the story, my dears, of how I got my little Christmas tree. And how I selected the ornaments, decorated him, and ended up with what you can see. The picture below is taken once it was almost finished, only the lights left to add. I’m sorry for the quality but this is all I had. I hope you like the ornaments and the end result.

For those of you who would like to share with me, I would love to take a look at your trees and see how you decorated yours. Leave a photo or link in the comments and I will be sure to check out all of them.
